In this 4 hour workshop, to be held in Parkville, the following areas will be covered: preparing for difficult calls; managing the caller who is acutely distressed, aggressive, bewildered or confused; coping with complaints; simple, effective stress management techniques to use while on the phone and; looking after yourself after difficult calls.
There are no role plays in this workshop.
The workshop will be run by David Cherry, Clinical and Forensic Psychologist, who has run training on this topic for over 5000 people in agencies all around Australia.
The workshop will be held at the Treacy Centre, 126 The Avenue in Parkville on Tuesday 8 May 2012 and will run from 12.30 pm to 4.30pm. The venue is close to public transport (trains and trams) and low cost parking is available at the Melbourne Zoo, less than 10 minutes walk from the venue.
The workshop costs $165.00 (inc GST). Detailed notes will be provided for each participant as well as afternoon tea.
This workshop, as well as many others, can be run for your agency, in metropolitan Melbourne, country Victoria as well as interstate.
